Three FDNY firefighters were injured battling a six-alarm Queens fire in freezing temperatures early Thursday.
The fast-moving fire broke out at about 1 a.m. in a two-story building in the Richmond Hill section of the borough, WPIX-TV reports. Roughly 200 firefighters responded to the blaze, which spread to multiple nearby buildings and displaced at least 40 people.
During the call, three firefighters suffered minor injuries. No civilian injuries were reported.
Crews were able to get the fire under control just before 4:30 a.m., according to WPIX. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
